Tayyaba Azeem is an advocate for people with speech impediments and other disabilities. She runs SpeakUp! which is a global initiative to empower people with disabilities in their professional as well as personal lives. Tayyaba conducts training sessions to create awareness about the issues people with disabilities face and how companies can be more sensitive while interacting with them. She also pushes for more employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Tayyaba received her Master’s degree from Brandeis University on a Fulbright Scholarship and graduated with distinction. Tayyaba moved to Canada from Pakistan a few years back and is currently working at CIBC in Risk Management.
